Breaking News: The Antichrist is here!

Who are you picturing? Is it one of the Presedential candidates?

Actually, this is not breaking news. The spirit of the Antichrist has been in the world since Jesus ascended to the Father:

“Every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming; even now it is already in the world.” 1 John‬ ‭4:2-3 (John is the same person who wrote Revelation.)

I think sometimes we are so busy looking for the antichrist we forget the power and authority of the REAL CHRIST living within us. Our job is not to sniff out the antichrist under every rock and politician with which we disagree. Our job is to partner with Christ and advance the kingdom of God.

The breaking news is not that the antichrist is here. The true headline is:

GREATER IS HE IN ME AND YOU THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD!

What if we spent less time looking for the antichrist and more time being the Christ’s hands and feet? His voice? His compassion? His generosity? His love?
