We all have that friend. You know, the Pinterest Queen. Their homes perfectly decorated for the holidays, homemade cookies always freshly baked waiting as you enter, and her kids are wearing perfectly clean matching Christmas outfits. And then there is you. Half decorated tree, store bought stale cookies, and struggling to keep a diaper on little Tommy. Can anyone relate?

Whether you are Ms. Perfect, Ms. Struggling to hang a store bought wreath, or Ms. When Will Christmas Be Over, let me remind you of a powerful truth:

Jesus was born to die so that you and I could have life abundantly. He did not come so that we would stress over celebrating His birth. He came to relieve us from all stress.

If you find yourself constantly comparing yourself with others and coming up short (at anytime) remember this:

“Don’t be obsessed with money (or Christmas decorations, or home size, or marital status or children’s success, or job satisfaction) but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!””
