Blameless

Do you feel as if God is angry with you? Perhaps frustrated with you because you can’t seem to get your act together? Do you ever feel as if God is punishing you for some great past transgression?

For many years, this is how I viewed God. Angry. Smite happy. Eager to exact punishment.

But here is the best news of the millennium! When you and I received Jesus we were reconciled to God. You and God are at peace. But not only that but He now sees us as holy, blameless and without a single fault! He doesn’t look at us and see the messes we have made in the past. He is not disappointed in us. He is not standing by with a lightening bolt waiting for us. We have been reconciled to the Father.

Knowing this, we must protect this word in our hearts. Many voices -the enemy, family, religion, my own – will try to contradict this word in our heart. Don’t allow it. Instead, declare truth. Speak this truth over others until it’s louder and clearer than any other voice in your head and your heart:

I have peace with God and I stand in His presence holy and blameless without a single fault!

“and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.”
