Love God. Love People.

Love God. Love people. It really isn’t rocket science. Love God. Love people.

Love people you disagree with.
Love people whose faith is different.
Love people whose skin color is different.
Love people whose political views are different.

Love God. Love people. Can we all practice getting this one thing right today. We can worry about fixing the rest of our problems tomorrow. But today, let’s love God and love people.

How do we do that? Meditate on how much God loves you. He loved you first. He loved you while you were a sinner. He loves you best. He is not fault finding with you. Regardless to what you may have done, His arms are always opened to you. His love forgives freely, does not remember wrongs. His love is patient, kind. His love is not boastful or proud. His love honors all people. His love always rejoices in truth, always hopes, always trust, always perseververes. His unconditional love for you will never fail.

Now, as the Father has loved you, go and love others.

“Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.””
