Our Shepherd

When you are full of worry and angst, remember the majesty of the Lord our God as found in Psalms 23.

He is Jehovah Raah, our Shepherd. He protects us, leads us guides us. We shall not lack.

He is Jehovah Shalom, our Peace. He bears our burdens and our sorrows. He leads us to green pastures, quiet waters providing times of refreshment.

He is Jehovah Tsidkenu, Our Righteousness. He took our place, died for our transgression and is no longer holding our faults against us. Now He is leading us to paths of righteousness.

He is Jehovah Shammah, the Lord who is There. When we make our beds in hell, He is There. When we reach the highest of mounts, He is There. When we walk through difficult times, He is There. Never leaving us, never forsaking us. There is no reason to fear. The Lord is There!

He is Jehovah Nissi, the Lord my Banner. We are comforted knowing He is our Banner, our cover, our protector. With His rod he keeps us safe from our enemies. With His staff, he gently leads us away from danger.

He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord will Provide. He prepares a feast for us, lavishing us with more than enough. He laughs as He makes our enemies watch as He blesses us beyond measure.

He is Holy Spirit, our Comforter, our Teacher, Our Anointer. He anoints our heads to accomplish that which He has called us to do. He equips. He opens doors. He gives us favor. He sets us before Kings.

He is El Shaddai, Lord Almighty. He is good. Surely His Goodness and His Mercy are running after us to bless us all the days of our lives. We can’t out run or out sin His goodness. Nothing is too hard for the Almighty One. No situation is too impossible for the Almighty One. No dream is to big for the Almighty One.

This is who our God is and so much more. He is our Healer and our Sanctifier. He is Everlasting, Most High, and Creator. He is I AM, our Hero, the Lord of the Breakthrough. He is good. He is faithful.

Whatever you may be facing today, you are not alone. He is There. And He is all you need.

“The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough.”
