Preemptive Strike Day 13

Strengthening of Families

Family life is hard. It requires the constant need to put another’s need above your own. It requires unconditional love, sacrifice, and hard work. It requires constant forgiveness. It requires a revelation of God’s love.

I know too many families strained, distant, not in fellowship. It breaks my heart. In 2020, I want to see children come home, marriages strengthen and siblings reconciled. Pray with me.

“Father, I thank you for families. Family was your idea. One of the first repercussions of the Fall of man was a fragmented family. But you, oh Lord, have redeemed family life. Jesus has come to reconcile parents to their children and children to their parents.

So we call home our children – from the north, south, east, and west. Bring them back from the Kingdom of darkness. Deliver them from the lies they are believing.

Our children cannot hide from your love. You are with them. Speak to them where they are. Let your goodness and kindness lead them home.

Father, strengthen our marriages. Teach us how to love our spouses as you love us. You loved us so much, you gave that which was most valuable to you. You love sacrificially. Teach us to love our spouses sacrificially. Let us fall in love with our spouses afresh every day. Teach us to forgive quickly. Give us wisdom to speak our spouses’ love language. Let us resolve to fight for our marriage.

Father, your word says, as much as possible, live in peace with one another. Let us resolve to live in peace with our siblings. Let us lay down past hurts and extend an Olive branch to our siblings. Let us make an effort to reconcile with distant siblings. Let us not loose hope that reconciliation is possible. Let us forgive quickly.

Thank you Father that in this coming decade, our families will be stronger than ever. We evict the spirit of strife from our families. We receive the spirit of unity. In 2020, children are coming home, marriages are being restored, and families are being reconciled. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

““See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.””
