It’s been a long winter. But despite the memes and the jokes, we all knew Spring would eventually arrive. The flowers would bloom, the grass would grow plush and green, and it would once again be sandal season.
Sometimes in our lives we have an extended season of winter. Dark gloomy days of unanswered prayers, the cold realities of living in a fallen world, short days but long agonizing nights.
And we wonder, will spring ever return?
Take hope my friend. Winter will not last always. A season of Spring is coming for you. Consider the prayers you have been praying as seeds, they are about to bloom. That season of heartache, pain, disappointment, frustration is ending. Spring is coming.
I am filled with hope today. My situation has not changed. No indication that things are about to change but still, I hope. My hope is based on this promise: if I ask anything according to His will, He will answer me and I will have what I ask.
I have asked. I believe His Word is true. Therefore I hope.
Spring is coming, friends. Hope.
“And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.”
Romans 15:4b NLT
