The Challenge – Week 8 Day 2

Life doesn’t always turn out like we thought it would. We make mistakes. Sickness happens. People disappoint. Marriages failed. Children rebel. Bosses fire. Finances dwindle. Dreams delay.

We may find ourselves looking back over our lives with regret wondering, “God where are you?”

The children of Israel made some serious, serious mistakes. They abandoned God and worshipped and sought after idols. Because of their continuous bad deeds, God exiled them, made them subject to a cruel nation. But in the midst of proclaiming judgment for their sins, God gave this beautiful promise: “My plan to prosper you and give you a hope and a future, has not changed.”

My friends, has life dealt you a difficult hand? Are you walking in the consequences of bad choices you have made? Take heart! God’s plans for you have not changed. His plans have always been and will always be to prosper you; to give you a hope and a future. Don’t give up in the trial. You are destined for great things. You are marked for success. God is restoring what the enemy has stolen. He is redeeming the mistakes you have made. He is bringing to fruition His plans for you.

“~‘For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope. ~‘Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. ~‘Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. ~‘I will be found by you,’ says the LORD, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and I will [free you and] gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ says the LORD, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’”
