The Christmas Story

God loved…
A world that was dark.
A people who were far away.
Samaritans, Gentiles, Tax-collectors, Roman officials. Prostitutes, Adulterers, Pharisees.
The undeserving, the outcasts, sinners, you, me.

God so loved the people of the world he gave…
The first Christmas gift
The best Christmas gift
A world that was dark, light.
A world that was fearful, peace.
A world that was sinful, righteousness.
A world that was hopeless, hope.
A world that mourned, joy

God loved, so He sent His son with
Healings in His wings
Love in His heart
Compassion in His eyes
Power and authority in His Words
Salvation in His death and resurrection

Because God loved, we can love.
Because God gave, we can give.
Because God sent, we can go.

This is the Christmas Story. It is too great a story to be relegated to one month of the year. It was meant to be told daily, demonstrated 24/7, lived constantly.

We regale this story each time…
We love the outcasts, the sinners, each other.
We give away freely hope, peace, joy, Jesus.
We go into the darkness bringing healing, love, compassion, power and authority, the gospel.

Let us truly tell the Christmas story this year not with store bought gifts but with our lives. Let us tell this beautiful and epic story throughout the year.

“God loved the people in the world so much that he gave his one and only Son on their behalf. So, as a result, everyone who believes in the Son will not die. Instead, they will live for always with God.’”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭EASY‬‬
