The Goal

The goal is not more of Jesus. The goal is not that He would draw near. The goal is not that His Presence would fall.

Jesus has given His all. Jesus has come near. The veil has been torn. His Presence is here.

The goal is that we would give our all to Him. That we would surrender our time, our distractions, our routines and give Him more of us.

The goal is that we would draw near to Him. The goal is to find quiet even in the midst of chaos and know He is right there with us.The Goal is to be still and know, perceive, recognize His presence is always here.

Yes, Jesus came to seek and save the lost but now that He has found us, He isn’t playing hide and seek with us.

Goosebump experiences are fun. But daily intimacy, daily hearing His voice, daily crawling into his lap and allowing Him to comfort, daily feeling His presence surround you, that is the goal.

Like Paul prayed, I pray. “I want to know you Lord and the power of your resurrection. I want to be so in sync with You, that I don’t know where my thoughts end and yours begin. I want to see with your eyes and love with your heart. You have given me all of you. I want to give You all of me. You came down to be with me. Teach me stop and enjoy your company. Amen”

“My goal is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,”
