The Promise of Abraham

Blessed to be a blessing. That it is who we are as Christians. As heirs, descendants of Abraham we have been given much to bless many.

Earlier this week I prayed this prayer: “Lord, give me seed to sow.” I felt His response was, “I already have.” I thought He meant the gift card I had gotten a few days prior. So I set out to find someone to bless. But nothing seemed like where I was suppose to give. 3 days before Christmas and I still have that gift card (actually I have been given more gift cards since.)

But God reminded me last night that in the past week, I have partnered with friends in prayer for answers to some truly serious issues, I have had coffee with friends who needed a listening ear, and I have opened my home to people who need family for the holiday.

God showed me my seed to sow was Him.

If you are a believer, you are blessed to be a blessing. You have something to give. It may be a financial blessing, wisdom, a smile, a hug, a prayer, a listening ear, a family dinner or a word of encouragement. Go out today and sow the seed of the Mesiah. Go out today and be who you are, Blessed to be a blessing!

“In Christ’s family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, since you are Christ’s family, then you are Abraham’s famous “descendant,” heirs according to the covenant promises.”
