Nowhere in the bible are you promised an easy life. Nowhere. I have searched high and low. It’s not there. Jesus actually said, “In this life you will have trouble.” You will lose loved ones, you will be disliked because of your faith. You will be rejected because of you are different. No one is immune from the tragedies of this life. But….
Jesus has overcome this world. So in the midst of the difficulties of this world, we have hope, we have joy, we have peace. Yes, we have hope in a future glory, but we also rest in a present glory. We have hope that a time is coming when we will party 24/7 in heaven but we also dance now knowing we will see the goodness of the Lord on this side of heaven! We anticipate seeing Jesus face to face in the sweet by and by, while expecting victory in the here and now!
Brothers and sisters, no matter what difficult situation you may be facing today, no matter what heartache and pain you are experiencing, take heart. You Savior has overcome. Jesus has come to give you life and life abundantly. He who has overcome death, sin, Satan and this world lives in you so that you (with His grace) can be victorious in whatever trial you are facing.
Go out in faith today and conquer your world! His conquest is accomplished. His victory is abiding.
