Jesus is rich. Yes, I know He has streets of gold and gates of pearls but beyond that.
He has constant fellowship with the Father.
He has peace, no worries, no fears.
He radiates and oozes perfect love. Even when we reject Him as humans, He rests in the knowledge His father accepts Him.
He is completely whole; He experiences no sickness or disease.
His every need is met in the Father; He has no lack.
Jesus is rich.
But for a moment in time, He gave it all up to live as you and I. For a moment, He laid down His richness to experience poverty, to know hunger, to know lack, to feel what we feel. Why? As a social experiment? Out of guilt? Of course not.
He became poor so that we could become rich. He walked on earth as us so that we could walk on earth as Him. He gave up all so that we could have it all.
We are rich.
We have constant access to the Father.
We have peace.
We are accepted in the Beloved.
We are whole.
We have every need met in the Father.
We are rich.
Receive what Jesus so willingly provided for us on the cross.
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”
