Purposefully Planted

I’m taking a class on Prayer Evangelism. The premise is to pray for your neighbors, and fellowship with your neighbors before preaching the gospel. I agree 100% with the premise thus far. But my problem is that I don’t know my neighbors and I really don’t care to know my neighbors. They seem like nice people and the few I have talked to profess Christ. It’s just that I’m working, I’m writing, I’m teaching and I don’t have time to add neighboring to the list.

But then God…

I was reading John 15:16 in the Amplified version and Jesus said this:

“I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit.”

Then God asked the question, “What if I have purposefully planted you in your neighborhood?”

Boys and girls, we have been appointed, placed, and purposefully planted at our jobs, in our neighborhoods and even in our families. Let us embrace our calling. We have been equipped to bear lasting fruit in our areas of influence. We can ask anything in His name and He will answer.
So let’s go speak peace over our neighbors, Co-workers, and family. Fellowship with them. Bless them and demonstrate the love of God.

We have been appointed, placed and purposefully planted.

“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.”
